Lim Li Wen

He obtained his Bachelor of Teachership (Music Ed.) from Teacher's Training Institute (Ilmu Khas Campus) under Open University Malaysia's Honor Certification in 2010. Experienced teaching Music for 6 Years in Chinese primary school (SJKC). He served in SJKC Chung Sin, Tanjong Malim, Perak before serving in SJKC Kota Emerald, Rawang. He is also major in Piano (ABRSM grade 8), Violin (ABRSM grade 8) and Clarinet (Trinity College, grade 5). He is an active member of National Association of Music Education (NAfME) and International Society for Music Education (ISME). He involved in Chinese orchestra, Marching band, and concert band since young. He is also music instructor (piano and violin) in various private Music School. Currently pursuing Masters in Education (Music) in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) under Dr. Andrew Blackburn (Previous Supervisor), Dr Karen Lonsdale (Current supervisor) and Dr Christine Augustine (Current 2nd supervisor) . His research area mainly related to designing teaching sequence (Kodaly based) for Primary year 1 in Chinese primary school. Teaching pedagogy, methods, Chinese music materials and music psychology is part of his main interest. His current work includes collecting and sequencing Chinese children folk songs (materials) for use in general music classroom especially in singing.
